On February 3rd, a group of scouts formed the New London Lego Patriots patrol and put up one of our best performances yet at Klondike.  Under the leadership of PL Emilio F, the group pulled a dogsled through five miles of terrain on a cold February day.  In total, the team put up 873 points, finishing 5th out of 30 senior teams, including two perfect scores. Both in fire building and shelter building. An incredible job from the scouts!

On January 13th, the scouts got their legs sore hiking around the hills and valleys of Jockey Hollow.  They would stop to take a look at the woods, fields, and overlooks where the continental army stayed the winter almost 250 years ago.  The group struggles through rain, wind, and cold for 10 miles to hike around the entire park!  

On October 9th, the scouts went down to one of the most historic sights of American history, the Delaware River.  The scouts explored and learned about Washington’s crossing, as well as cooking, and camping all through the rain. 

On October 29th, the scouts took up the challenge of the Lemon Squeezer backpacking trip.  The annual trip is recommended as a good start for anyone wanting to take up backpacking, but can still be a challenge.  A trip that started with sunshine up to the campsite, ended in a dousing of rain and sore muscles, but still an incredible time for the troop.

On December 3rd, Troop 90 went up against Troop 1776 in a first aid competition.  The Patriots patrol, under the leadership of Joseph K. took home first place, with the London Bridge Patrol in second.  It's always good to know that our scouts can take care of any injury, no matter how severe.

On October 2nd, the scouts helped out at the NBVFC pumpkin patch.  Although there were five pallets of pumpkins, they were all unloaded in just twenty minutes by the scouts.  Many hands make light work!
